Yesterday was our first installation day of our custom made bed crowns for two rooms at the newly built Carriage House at Blackberry Farm, Walland, TN. Blackberry Farm interior Designer Susan Wojnar and Blackberry Farm maintenance/custom remodeler Mike Orr both did an amazing job with designing and building the bed crowns. Unfortunately we can not post pictures of the finished rooms with our work in it, however Susan and I couldn’t resist to take a couple of “selfies” after a full day of drapery installations. Professional photographers with take some beautiful room shots with the finished interior design work and this will be featured on Blackberry Farm’s website in the near future.
Elaborate custom bed crowns aren’t a typical daily drapery job for us, however if anybody is in need for some extra bedroom elegance – Mike will have us covered to construct it to the exact specs needed. One other thing to consider is the weight of the finished product. Even before attaching all the fabric, the woodwork alone can ad up to quite a bit of weight and extra ” lumber blocking” behind the sheetrock is needed either on the wall or the ceiling in order to firmly attach the bed crown.
