Blackberry Farm and Custom Drapery Work

HomeBlogBlackberry Farm and Custom Drapery Work

I am so excited to blog about our latest project, which is helping Blackberry Farm in Walland Tennessee,  with their latest venture : The Carriage house.

The Carriage House will feature exclusive rooms (suites) which are all named after historic carriage names like Victoria, Hillsboro and Tim Whiskey. Wolfgang Interiors and Gifts was hired to fabricate bed crowns, a canopy and some bedding. Now those bed crowns are not your typical crown and canopy and on a couple it took a few meetings, lots of brainstorming, fresh ideas and a fabulous handyman who was able to transform ideas and sketches into reality. Prior to sheetrocking walls and ceilings, the Blackberry Farm interior design team added wooden blocking between wall and ceiling studs so boards for the crowns (one of which extends down from the ceiling above the entire bed) would be safely secured. Also all our draperies and side panels are interlined and lined with decorative fabric, so this adds to the weight and luxurious look of the finished product.

Some of the fabrics selected came from England and part of the drapery work requires us to be stitched by hand because of the bulk of all the layers, as well as making sure we will deliver a top notch product. The rooms (suites) we are working on will have the best view ever at Blackberry Farm and overlook beautiful mountains, hills and nothing but stunning nature as far as one can see.

We will post some more pictures later of some of the work, showing off their beautiful designer and decorator’s touch as well as our custom workroom draperies and bedding.
